Creative Person's Agreement
(for anyone submitting visual or literary work)
By sending your submission to Blue Planet Cards,
1. You are also submitting that you own the copyright to this work and the work does not violate anyone else's copyright or trademark. Should we find that the work belongs to a party who did not submit it to us, this material will be immediately removed from the site.
2. You are allowing Blue Planet Cards only the submitted items for non-profit online use.
3. You acknowledge that Blue Planet Cards reserves the right to not display, or to remove, submissions deemed inappropriate for our site. For submissions that are displayed, we reserve the right to modify graphics for size or file quality, or copyedit text for grammar.
On our part,
4. Blue Planet Cards will never sell your creative work or contact info to third parties. Blue Planet may use your material in online advertising material without needing further consent from the creator. (We'll try not to do this, but cannot guarantee this if the site is being reviewed by other media.)
5. The site will always fight to remain non-profit and ad-free! This site was started because we cannot stand the ads along the side, or those annoying popups!
6. Blue Planet guarantees a return link to the contributor's page, but it is the responsibility of the contributor to make sure that the link address we have is up to date. And the content reached by the link is your responsibility!
7. Blue Planet Cards will, in the running of this site and publishing of the cards, provide the following safeguards against site users saving and reproducing the work without permission:
- display copyright information for the work next to the work clearly
- disable right clicks on all images on the site
- keep image file sizes small enough to discourage the use of them for selling unauthorized prints, and
- include access to our "Terms of Use" information on every page.
8. Blue Planet Cards will not be held liable if site users violate our terms of use and persist in the unauthorized use of copyrighted work through means that we cannot prevent. We will however consent to taking down a creator's work at the creator's request.
