When fully functional and integrated, BlueGreenPlanet will allow cards to be custom-composed out of user-chosen images, stories, quotations and/or earth facts.

We will have pages dedicated to our contributors, as well as searches and images organized by artist, style and occasions. Our main page will display ecological facts and the ecological name of the current day, moon phases, and will include a calendar of upcoming holidays and astronomical days of note. Users who may be unused to picking and combining works of prose with their card images will be treated to random words or wisdom and/or earth facts as they browse the site.

No pop-up advertisements. No banners on the main pages. No spam. No contact info given or sold to third parties.

Visitors are not required to register or pay fees to use the site. A person sending an e-card can choose to be notified when their e-card is viewed by the recipient(s).

E-Cards delivered to recipient emails are very simple, contain no attached documents, and provide a direct link to the e-card with no login or ticket number required.

The site design will remain clean and neat as possible. This site will aim to be kid-safe and work-safe. No sound, no music, and at this time, we are not planning on animated cards. We believe site users will probably prefer what they're currently listening to, whether it's their own music or silence, without "card music" intruding.

Contributors need only remember and bookmark one page: this one.

We won't ask you to register or sign up for an account. Why? Because you probably have enough logins and passwords to remember already. If you can remember your own name and email, great! That's all we're going to need from you when you want to update your information or works available on our site. To prevent mistakes, we will confirm important information like email changes and image removals with you before we do so.

Contributors immediately get their own contributor page on bluegreenplanet.org, accessible if a visitor chooses to click on your name while viewing your work! The contributor page provides a link to your website and your other works on BlueGreenPlanet.org. Free gallery! Free exposure.

Right-clicks on images will be disabled to discourage "borrowing" of images. For writing contributors, your works of poetry or prose when incorporated into a card cannot be edited by the sender. Copyright text will always be displayed prominently next to original works.
