The simplest way to send a card from BlueGreenPlanet is to click on the thumbnail of an image you like (a thumbnail is any image that looks small and expands into a larger page or image) and fill in the information on the card page that follows. Enter your name and email address, the recipient's name and address, and your personal message. Click on "Preview" to get to the next page. If the preview looks good, click on "Send this Card" and it's off!

Your friend will receive an email from you that gives them a personalized link to BlueGreenPlanet. When they click on that link, they'll see the card that you just created and sent to them. If you did not uncheck the option to be notified when your friend views your card, you will also receive an email when your friend views the card on BlueGreenPlanet.

BlueGreenPlanet is an extra special ecard site because we have a wide selection of quotes, writing or earth facts that you can pair with your chosen card image in the combination that you want. When you find a quotation or writing that you want to use on your card, simply click on "Use this text for my card," and BlueGreenPlanet stores it as your current card text. You will see this on the top right of the page under "Current card text" as you're browsing the card offerings.

If you decide you do not want this text for your card anymore, you can click on "Clear this text," or if you've found the new card text you want to use, click on "Use this text for my card" under the desired new text you've found.

Earth facts and quotations (called "Wisdom") pop up randomly every time you load a page. These can be used on your card.

We also have contributed poems, haiku and stories from our Words Menu (on the right side column of ECards Home and the card navigation pages) which you can explore. To save space, some of the text selections are truncated while you're browsing them. To read the complete work of writing, simple click on "[Read all]" next to that text, and the complete poem of story will be displayed in a small pop-up window. If you decide you like it and want it for your card, just click "Use this text for my card"!

Your chosen card text is stored for as long as you're browsing the site (up to an hour). So feel free to keep browsing.

You card is ready to send at any time you have an image selected and decide to send that one.

Alternately, if you tire of browsing our text selections, on our very main page you can choose to send An Utterly Random Card that our website has generated using all the available images and writing on the site. (You can keep on refreshing/reloading the page to see new random combinations.) Alternately, we will also be introducing card-pairs (where an image and one piece of writing has already been paired) in the future, and we also encourage writer and artist contributors to work together for such collaborations!
