Are you thinking about how you can lease a new car to save a lot of money as friends or families advise you? You believe it is more practical to opt for a new car lease because for you, there is no logic in having to purchase cars with depreciating values especially when you are aware that the instant a brand new car steps out of the car factory or warehouse, it already depreciates by a significant amount? What is more, do you get confused and fin it even harder to accept as true that opting for leases or new car leasing is a smarter move as opposed to when buying your own brand new car?

Car: Guaranteed Depreciating Asset, So Why Buy Brand New?
No wonder cars are more often than not referred to as “depreciating assets”. Simply put, why would anyone want to buy a new car when you can simply choose to go for a new car lease instead. If you lease one, you can be certain that you will be able to cut on your expenditures. What is more, you will be able to address your transportation needs while getting rid of your maintenance and gasoline costs at the same time.

As you may have noticed, leasing services are being offered here and there, left and right. leasing services have fast become popular in the automobile industry and countless of people have already made it a habit to address their transportation needs with such scheme. Find below more information about new car leasing as well as the upsides and downsides of opting, before you finally decide you would want to lease one:

What Does “Lease” Really Mean?
To lease a new car only means that you can use such car only for a given time. Regardless of whether you would want to use it for long-term or short-term, the point is that you can never ever gain ownership of that car. For this, car experts are strongly against car leasing services saying it is foolish to lease a new car
when you do not even stand a chance of owning it in the future.

But then on the other hand, other experts claim exactly the opposite of this saying for as long as you are able to properly negotiate with the car owner, you can be certain that you have better chances of saving more money if you will opt to go for new car leases than when you will invest your money on buying a new car. So if you want to be practical, make a go at changing cars every now and then instead of buying one and keeping it with you for a long time.

Lower Monthly Payment Rates
Really, new car leasing is very ideal for people who love changing cars or for those who cannot afford to buy a new one. Unlike when buying new cars, you will be required to pay high monthly fees for the new car. But if you will choose to go for the new car leases, you will be surprised that you will only need to pay very low monthly payments compared to when paying for a spanking new car.

Firstly, you should think specifically as to how this car will be used, what will its primary function be. Is boot space a must have? How many passengers will regularly be transported? Secondly, set a budget for your used car and make sure you ask these 10 essential questions:

1. Be sure to ask about the mileage. By rule of thumb 12,000 miles per year is an average amount. Mileage is important when judging how reliable a vehicle is.

2. It is always important to ask about ownership. Ask to see records and certificates to validate any claims of ownership, this will ensure that you are not purchasing a stolen vehicle.

3. When buying any used car you should always enquire about the vehicles service history. A good dealer should have a full detailed history of any services and repairs, and should also include all records and receipts.

4. Another important question that can often reveal a lot of information regarding the car is the reason for sale. More important when buying from smaller or private dealers this simple question, if answered honestly, should give a clear insight as to how the car has performed in the past.

5. Just as important as repairs and services is accident history. A trustworthy dealer will be forthcoming about a used cars accident history. However, this information can be easily sourced online.

6. With more and more focus being environmentally friendly and economically aware you may wish to ask about the fuel consumption.

7. With the performance and history questions answered you then want to spend a considerable amount of time getting to know the car. Ask to test drive any used car for at least 15 minutes. This will allow you to get to grips with steering, brake control and will also allow enough time for any serious flaws to arise.

8. Ask about any special features included, CD players, air conditioning and electronic windows, be sure they operate! Take the time to thoroughly inspect the car, take note of any obvious damage and ask to have it fixed before purchase. Some more high end used car dealers will also go as far to supply you with a new set of tyres. Remember if you don’t ask you don’t get!

9. Once you are 100 per cent sure that you have found your perfect car, enquire about the price. If it is out with your budget try and negotiate. This is your opportunity to get an outstanding deal, so always be aware of your budget and stand your ground.

10. Finally ask for a receipt! Ensure you have agreed on a suitable return policy and have read over your contracts thoroughly.

The used car market is at an all time high and never has there been a better time to take advantage and benefit from the amazing deals and offers that are available. Having asked all of these questions and made sure that enough thought and research have gone into your decision, you will soon have a car to be proud of.

Petrol prices have been soaring since last year and as a result many motorists look towards new ways of reducing the cost of owning a car. One way of doing this is to swap your existing car with something which is more economical. And according to some figures, swapping to a smaller more fuel efficient car is what 1 in 20 car owners have done. In addition to make savings on fuel, buying a smaller car can also save you money on road tax and the London Congestion Charge as both are calculated on the basis on your car’s engine size.

Currently the top five most economic vehicles to get are the Fiat 500 TwinAir, The Smart Fourtwo Coupe, the Toyota IQ, the Nissan Pixo and the Ford Ka.

The Fiat 500 TwinAir only emits 95 g/km of CO2 and has a combined fuel economy of 68.9 mpg. The 0.9-litre petrol engine has been popular amongst London celebs because of its quirky yet stylish looks. It’s also fairly cheap with prices starting at £9,465.

The Smart car has a three-cylinder 1.0-litre engine and saves fuel with stop/start technology which cuts the engine at traffic lights. It emits 97 g/km and is thus, like the Fiat 500, exempt from the London Congestion Charge. Fuel economy is around 67.3 mpg. It is however, only a two seat car and thus considerably smaller than some of its rivals.

Number three on the list, the Toyota IQ, comes in several sizes, including a two-seat version. It emits less than 100g/km of CO2 and does around 65.7 mpg.

The Nissan Pixo is a fourth vehicle worth taking a look at. It’s the cheapest car in the top five with a price tag of around £7,150 but with CO2 emissions at 103g/km it’s not exempt from the London Congestion Charge.

The Ford Ka comes in at number five of the top five most economical cars to get but if you’re young it’s apparently the best car to get as it’s the cheapest car to insure for young drivers, irrespective of whether you buy a new or a used Ford. London dwellers won’t benefit from no congestion charge as the car emits around115 g/km of CO2 so over the 100g/km threshold but with a fuel economy of 57.7 mpg and low insurance costs, it’s still a great option. And some say it’s also the most fun car to drive out of all five.

When they were first introduced to the industry back in the early 1990s BMW couldn’t have known what they were starting with the BMW HID headlights. The 7 Series that was released by them had advanced headlight technology which was something revolutionary in an industry that had consistently been evolutionary. Now, decades later, we are seeing models and brands that offer this extraordinary light as an alternative to standard headlights.

Mustang HID kits are capable of delivering the night time driver an experience like no other. In normal driving conditions, and using the traditional halogen bulb, the driver is remarkably limited as to what they can actually see. The unfortunate reality is that although automotive advancements have certainly helped move headlight technology into the future, until now they still have never been sufficient to combat against serious threats. These are situations that can arise such as if you do not see a large animal waiting to dart out in front of you in the darkness.

When adding Mustang HID kits to your vehicle you are giving yourself a serious advantage over the limitations of the halogen bulb. The HID, which stands for high impact discharge lights, is vastly superior to the traditional halogen in that it is capable of giving you a beam that is not only wider but stretches farther as well. This light will give the driver the advantage when driving in the darkness. When our ability to see is of such vital importance every little bit counts.

It has been reported that night time is when traffic nearly slows in half. With only 60 percent of the drivers moving about at night than there are during the day, it would seem that accident statistics would be lower. However the terrible reality is that of those involved in accidents during the darkened hours as many as 40 percent will be killed. Don’t let that be you. Helping arm yourself with better lighting is simple and Mustang HID kits are easy to install.

Despite the fact that the Xenon lights are something that can be extremely beneficial to you, there are some who have concern that it isn’t ADOT approved. The fact is these lights are perfectly legal to use, and it simply depends upon how hot the light is that you run. Anything that is within the 4000k to 6000k temperature range will generate a safe yellow to blue glow. Anything above that will be a dangerous purple that can get you ticketed as well as fined.

We take it for granted that we can jump into our family sedan and automatically become a good driver. Fact is, most of us cannot drive to save ourselves. We don’t realize the important relationship between good health and driver safety. For example, like a drug, fatigue behind the wheel can kill you. The knowledgeable motorist will check his physical condition before taking the wheel.

Driving a car can make demands on a driver. He/She must be in just as good health as the automobile. Now, don’t worry, you don’t have to have a body like Vin Diesel in “Fast Five”. But, a minimum standard of well-being in body and mind is essential. If you are thinking of driving 200 miles and the car is a bit dodgy, you might say, “well, not sure if the car will make it, steering’s been a bit shaky lately”. On the other hand, if YOU were in the same condition as the car, you would not think twice about getting behind the wheel.

If you are tired, upset, got a headache or the flu and dosed up with antihistamines or tranquilizers, then you are a mobile timebomb! You are an accident waiting to happen! You have put your driving skills to the ultimate test and you’re gonna lose!

But, if you enjoy a state of good health with clear vision and you are able to buckle your seatbelt by yourself, then the threat on the road to yourself, your passengers and other motorists is greatly diminished. Not many of us collapse at the wheel because of a killer disease, but the threat to road safety from minor complaints is something very real and we must be judgmental enough to be able to calculate our condition.

Basically, the requirements by law as far as fitness is concerned is only that you are able to read the 6 inch letters at the end of the office and are able to fill out the application form. It is entirely our own responsibility to assess our own health as we would the road-worthiness of our car.

Now, here is a general rule of how to combat a sudden illness while driving:

1. Heart Attack – if you should ever be unlucky or unhealthy enough or just plain too old to drive, and have a heart attack while driving, generally you are not going to die straight away! Pull over to the side of the road and don’t drive for 3 months.

2. Migraine – if you feel a migraine coming on while driving, symptoms can be nausea and double vision, then stop immediately. Take off your leather driving gloves, sit down on the grass verge in the lotus position and practice deep meditation with forefingers and thumbs touching.

3. Anxiety Attack – if you feel an anxiety attack coming on while driving, you may suffer from memory loss, so pull over immediately and make sure you have recorded your trip on your SatNav, because you will have forgotten where you came from.

4. Schizophrenic Attack or other Psychosis – if you about to have a psychotic episode while driving, pull over immediately and tell your mother-in-law to hide all the picnic cutlery.

5. Alcohol & Drug Dependency – if you think that going for a nice long drive in the countryside is the best treatment for your self-imposed, cold turkey, substance abuse, withdrawal program, then you’re wrong! Tell your wife to take over the driving, get in the back seat, crack a few beers and read some magazines.

The object of this article is to give you food for thought. Eat good healthy food, drive safely and enjoy the machine that has brought us so much joy in the pleasurable pursuit of going somewhere!

Did you know that car thieves usually steal average family cars like the Accord, Camry and trucks like the F-150? Most people assume that criminals would rather steal exotic autos or at least luxury cars but they are after the normal, every day cars that most of us drive. When it comes to theft, no other state comes close to California. Fresno, Modesto, Bakersfield, Spokane, Vallejo, Sacramento, Stockton, Visalia, San Francisco/Oakland and Yakima are the cities with the most number of thefts in the nation.

Cities which have seen an increase in theft include Fresno, Modesto, Spokane and Vallejo. The states that follow California with the most thefts are: Texas, Florida, New York, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Arizona, Maryland, Georgia and Nevada. It’s not all bad news though; thefts are down overall in seven years.

Curious as to why thieves are stealing average cars like Camry and Accord’s? It’s because these autos can be stripped for their valuable parts which then can be resold. The parts can be resold for even more than the car is actually worth. Parts are very much in demand because many drivers are keeping their cars longer due to the economic situation.

Of the newer cars less than 5 years old that were stolen last year, the 2007 and 2009 Toyota Camry are settled at number one and two respectively. Following the 2009 Camry is the 2006 Chevrolet Silverado, 2007 Cadillac Escalade and 2006 Ford F-250 Series.

Auto thefts are down to a 25 year low of nearly 57 percent partly because of systems like the GPS products and the Lojack systems. Moreover, auto manufacturers are now including anti-theft devices with their cars. When the car is stolen the GPS system in the car allows an operator at a computer screen to follow the movement of the vehicle. Police are given directions to the vehicle.

There are a few things you can do in order to prevent theft. One of them is having a kill switch installed in your car. This way the engine will only start if the key sends a signal to the computer. Other things you can do include parking in a garage which is always safer than parking outdoors. Make sure you don’t park in a neighborhood that is known for theft. Don’t forget to lock your doors. Many people won’t lock their doors if they are running into the gas station or store but it’s important to always lock them no matter what. All it takes is just a few seconds to jump in and steal your ride. It’s a good idea to install an alarm which might deter some thieves. Lo Jack is an alarm system that helps guide law enforcement to your car when it’s stolen. A device like The Club can also help to deter thieves. If you do have to park outside try to park in a public lot that has ample of lighting. Take all valuables with you and don’t forget your cell phone, ipads or other fancy electronics inside as this can attract the attention of thieves.

Each and every part of an automobile requires special attention. Car maintenance is not only about the regular check-ups of oil and water levels but one need to look after several other aspects as well and tyres are obviously one of them. While selecting the correct car tyres for your car, the factors like appearance, brand, convenience, safety and rates are vital but one real thing which should not be neglected or compromised is the quality.

Many people believe that only the branded or expensive tyres will deliver the desired results. That perception is not correct as sometimes cheap car tyres might also perform very well. The tyres to be chosen must be well balanced, strong and in good shape.

You are not required to be a master of car wheels, when it comes to choosing them for your automobile. By following some basic things, there is every possible chance of making a fair and good deal. It always works well to do a brief market analysis before making the final decision. It is also an excellent and useful method of analysing the difference in market prices.

Moreover, it is not necessary that one always prefer the top quality tyres for the vehicle as the cost and affordability factors should always be remembered while buying the car tyres. However, a car that is designed for high performances will surely requires high performing tyres

As tips:

Always use the tyres which are made specifically for that car. Every tyre has an allotted number which one can easily find on the side of the tyre.

A tyre size calculator is available easily on the net and is really handy in specifying the accurate tyre measurements.

Be prepared to grab any good online deal that comes to you. A little bit of web surfing and online research will let one know about many lucrative deals for both the new and used tyres. If fortunate, one may get really economical car tyres with free shipment through an online deal.

It is also better to know that what type of tyres are actually required as there are different types available like some of them performs well in wet weather, some are made for mountainous areas while some are equally good in all the areas and weather.

Another useful tip is to ask any of your colleague or friend who has recently purchased a set of tyres as it will not only provides the feedback of the tyres but also gives you an insight regarding the after sale services and the reputation of the selling company. Things like visiting an auto wrecker or a wholesaler will definitely help in selecting accurate car tyres and if you are lucky enough you might also get cheap car tyres deal for your automobile.
