BlueGreenPlanet depends on its contributors and team and site users for support. If you like the look of this place (or if you think you can help us do better), check out our talent wishlist of the positions we'd like filled at any time. You can volunteer for more than one position in our team, and there's also no mimimum period of time to volunteer:

People to produce link graphics, buttons, site graphics, and all the little things that make this a prettier place. Once new art comes in, we may also need help creating thumbnails for new cards. Time commitment needed: medium (maximum 2 hours / week)

Someone to get the word out about this site. (We of course hope that our visitors and contributors will also pitch in.) The town crier's main duty is sumitting BlueGreenPlanet to directories, search engines and topsites. Time commitment needed: low (0-2 hours / week)

Easy! Keep your eyes peeled for art to add to the site! Check the artist against the list of artists we already have or against a list of artists we've already contacted, and extend invitations to new artists who may like to join BlueGreenPlanet. We do ask that these invitations have a personal touch (even though we'll supply a form letter to help things along) and they must (for goodness' sake!) address the artist by name. The art scouts will be the first contacts for new talent so we'd like people-persons and polite art enthusiasts for this job. Time commitment needed: low.

Reading required! Instead of finding and contacting artists, for this position we want people looking for poems and short fiction (extremely short fiction) that may work as an ecard. In addition, we may ask you to solicit writers to write something for our cards. Invite them to use card artwork as inspiration - and if they do, when someone chooses to send a partcular card, the option will also be offered to the user to send the writer's poem or story with the card. This is one of the more novel concepts we're experimenting with on BlueGreenPlanet - let the writers know that their stories/poems are being forwarded, with illustrations, as ecards! Writers can use and send their own cards for instant readership! Time commitment needed: low to medium.

Got a thing for reading the works of famous writers, philosophers, thinkers and scientists? Do you like collecting clever or inspiring quotations? Help us collect them! Scribe them into our quotation database. Time commitment needed: low.

Help us compile special occasions and days from around the world - help us fill our calendar with special days! Seek out their dates, significances and stories behind them so we can our visitors know about them! Pass the info on to our editors so they can help categorize cards that may fit these holidays! Time commitment needed: low to medium.

Manage our webring! Experience with Webring.com preferred. You do not need to have been a ring administrator before, just a Webring member. Being an administrator is easy! Time commitment needed: low.

Help manage and organize the content on the site. Publish and categorize new submissions as appropriate, keep their keywords updated and accurate, help build new categories as needed and just generally keep cards easy to find and keep the navigation of the site content clear and instinctual. Some HTML/PHP experience is preferred but not necessary, just in case technical issues crop up. Time commitment needed: medium (1-4 hours a week).
